Amash was not obligated nor expected to be civil and nice to people that dragged his name through the mud and and cast him in the most unflattering light possible for a politician.
People who do shite like that will always get their due comeuppance and be addressed as such.

He insinuates that his opponents are exposing America to terror attacks and calls him al quaeda's best friend? He misrepresents people's positions on issues and legislation?
I can definitely see why a Palestinian-American would be especially sensitive to this kind of smear. This reminds me of accusations against Max Cleland, who left three limbs on the battlefield in Vietnam, that he was a friend of Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.

My heart doesn't break for the GOP Establishment. Conservatives held their noses to vote for Dole, McCain and Romney. They're loyal.
The Establishment, meanwhile, runs smear campaigns against conservatives in primary races, especially in Mississippi this year.
I have no dog in the GOP fight. I'm an unaffiliated voted who's sympathetic to the libertarian movement. But the conservatives are the battered wives of the GOP family. They need to go third party eventually.
