I see taunting, not whining.
Demanding an apology and then begging for money, which is step #2, qualifies as whining for me.
Like I said, I like some things about Amash. I just think like many in his movement, he lacks some maturity and civility.

I bet that doesn't apply to Amash's opponent, right?
ETA: Amash didn't accuse Brian Ellis of "being friends of AQ". Amash didn't run a scorched earth campaign with the support of the US CoC. But Ellis did.
Now Amash is the bad guy because he's calling out Ellis's uncivil and despicable campaign? Give me an f'fn break. Ellis and his cronies deserve to be called out, by name. If Ellis wants respect he should have run a respectful campaign. He chose not to so he deserves disrespect.

Please point to any D or R who is civil? Did you not see what Pelosi did last week?

I think the large majority of Republicans in the establishment have been quite mature and civil with regard to those two. I'm sure some haven't, but this is a chicken/egg situation.
TPers demand respect from the GOP while fundraising off bashing the GOP. It's a weird notion to think you can reform by destroying while still expecting the entity to be reformed to fund your campaign or give you credibility.

You're using Pelosi, who has never been confused with being civil, as an example?
I've never seen anyone say Paul Ryan acted in an uncivil or immature manner. Cantor was aloof, but was not uncivil. Hensarling is a nice guy, as is Tom Price, as is/was Jack Kingston, etc. These are all pretty establishment folks.

Another loss by a US Chamber backed candidate.
Every race and every voting district comes with its own idiosyncrasies.
Tea Party incumbent Kerry Bentivolio got beat 66-34 last night in Michigan by a political newcomer who was endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Chamber of Congress.
The 114th Congress is likely to have very close to, if not exactly, the same number of reps in the Tea Party Caucus as the 113th currently has.

So calling out Ellis for actually being uncivil in the extreme, for decrying smear tactics and not just dismissing it renders Amash uncivil and immature??? Do you live in bizarro world?

Amash made a spectacle, as he usually does, despite winning. He's a different breed who wants confrontation above all else. He could have been gracious, and recognized the hypocrisy of calling out someone else for something he does so frequently, but he chose not to do so.

Again he didn't run the dirty slanderous campaign which was the actual spectacle. And he is a different breed he runs on issues and gets elected because he's principled.

He insinuates that his opponents are exposing America to terror attacks and calls him al quaeda's best friend? He misrepresents people's positions on issues and legislation?
Why should he go through the charade of pretending that it's OK to treat people like that?
Ellis and people like him are why people hate politicians.

I cringe a little at his words because it is not the most politic way to go about his business. But you know what?
frick the establishment.
frick the establishment.

Good. Maturity and civility are overrated, and the last thing we need, especially in politics. Calling someone immature and uncivil is used by losers when they have nothing of substance to say. It should be worn as a badge(s) of honor to be called "immature" and "uncivil".

They aren't bashing the Republican Party as an organization/infrastructure,they are bashing those in control of it.
Republican/Democrat parties have no inherent meaning, and the platforms change drastically over time and even switch places(which means every Republican/Democrat is a Republican/Democrat in a name only, which is one reason why I don't use that silly term).
Amash was bashing neoconservatives/ those who are currently controlling the party.
