Because Obama declared the Iraq War to be over.
Mission Accomplished!

Oh shut the frick up, will you please?

Worthy representatives of the 'religion of love.' They have now killed an American citizen. Will the commander in chief do anything bolder to show them that you don't mess with the US?!?! Highly doubt it.

Hell no , Obama has destroyed what thousands of American spilled blood doing and that's saving the World! Yes saving the fricking world. If the US had not beat Germany a lot of us would not be here today. Obama has made us look like a weak divided country.you know what, with him as President we are just that. Perception is everything. And if some damn grown ups don't get together and say enough is enough,we may see some serious stuff on the streets of America.

Do you have an actual point?

#ISIS in video titled "A Message to America," beheads American journalist James Wright Foley
This saddens me very much, as James was from here in NH and last Fall I attended a prayer vigil for his safe return and shook hands with both of his parents and extended my warmest wishes for his safe return.
I can't imagine the hurt they are feeling tonight.

I'm sorry for that guy who was just a journalist, for his parents, for you, and for the country. This is what happens when animals rule!

Give it twenty years and it will be happening in a place like Ferguson.

It's definitely a fricked up group, no doubt. One of the few times I agree with you here

They are a threat to humanity in general, The US is the only country that has the means to go break their back and needs to do so.

Damn dude this is the second person you had a connection to that was killed in the middle east. That is a statisical anomoly that I can't even wrap my head around. Right now the folks in the US are stirred up about ISIS far more than anyone in the Middle East outside of Iraq and Syria any quess as to why? The folks here are paying about as much attention as the US did to Chavez and his threats to the US.

Good memory. You're referring to my boyhood friend from Lyman Street in Laconia, NH, Ken Scroggs, who was murdered by terrorists in Riyadh in June of 2004. He loved my mother's chocolate cream pies. He married a girl named Estela ("Essie") from the Philippines.
Thanks for remembering.

Yup. At this point, as others have said, it isn't about religion. They're just crazy.
It's really not about religion with ISIL, despite their strict interpretation of Sharia law. ISIS is a group comprised entirely of sadists, sociopaths, and other people with severe mental defects. They're not Muslims because they believe it's the right path, they're Muslims because that religion gives them the best opportunity to interact with the kind of people they need to fulfill their fantasies. These are the guys that were filming bomb disposal units in Iraq a few years back, hoping to catch a bomb go off and body parts fly around.
If these deviants were born Americans, they would have grown up to be rapists and serial killers. In a war-torn Middle East, they were afforded the opportunity to organize and tear apart Al Qaeda from the inside.

Kill them. Kill them all.
Where is the outrage for mr. Foley?
Or, is it all used up on the Gentle Giant in Ferguson?
Sickening. American being beheaded... Unacceptable.

By any measure, ISIS is now a near-term threat to the US. Just recently, ISIS members
allegedly tweeted images from Chicago & the White House, and there are reports that ISIS operatives are returning to their home countries in Europe and Asia to establish local cells.
The best way to combat these guys is to first wage a campaign similar in scope to the early phase of the Afghan War, where CIA Officers and Special Operations units imbedded with local fighters to identify enemy positions and call in air strikes aplenty (I really wish we hadn't retired the Daisy Cutter). I think we already are doing this to some degree, but we should expand the scope to target more ISIS positions in Iraq. I also wouldn't be adverse to using JSOC units to launch kill/capture missions against certain ISIS leaders. We've had a similar mission scope in The Horn of Africa for many years and it seems to have been effective at suppressing the East African Al Qaeda affiliates.
We also should use as many of our signals intelligence resources as possible to track individual ISIS members (these dumbasses are all over social media so they shouldn't be too hard to find), then work with partners in foreign intelligence and law enforcement services to grab these thugs. We don't have to throw them in Gitmo or CIA black sites (though I have no issue with that). I'm sure the Jords, Egyptians, and others would be more than happy to "accommodate" ISIS members.

A question no one seems to be asking is "Why do they hate us?" I heard that several times before 2008. Something happened and apparently it wasn't a problem until BHO Jangles went to Martha's Vineyard.

now now, that's not very inclusive of you. We value cultural diversity around here, mister.

shite... I hate war with every fiber of my being.
But what I hate even more is seeing innocent people murdered and lives destroyed
It's unfortunate, but it seems to me like the only solution is to destroy every single one of these evil monsters.
