Just received 'LONG SHOT' by Jeremy Alford and Tyler Bridges about the historic 2015 Louisiana Governor's election.

Book review to follow.

Looking forward to getting the inside story on Vitter's strategy to combat his sexual transgressions, and also what really happened to his private investigator

These books are always fascinating to me, mainly because I've worked in politics in Louisiana and have seen how the small communities we all know and love make the ultimate difference in these races.

Anyone read it yet?

Served a year with the Army in Iraq. Two brothers that were in the Army.

I know what a real soldier looks like ... i.e. not like JBE at the time of the election.

Happy now, Your Highness?

Sure have been a lot of JBE propaganda lately... his re-election already begun.

The true story of the 2015 campaign is Vitter was arrogant and ran the shittiest campaign ever. He didn't see the back stab coming from the crooked demo- republicans.

JBE campaigned on West Point honor knowing he was in bed with La. lawyer class and will govern for their interest and not Louisiana's.... Too many feminine republicans fell for it.

Where's my $27 bucks?

These people need to be skinned alive. They're the reason whe have a DNC operative in the Governor's Mansion.

Jeremy Alford and Lee Zurick are probably the only respectable journalists/reporters left in Louisiana.

The AP reporter, Melinda Deslatte is pretty good too. She doesn't do as much investigative journalism though due to the nature of her gig.

Nah, this timing is about distracting from his failure dispersing flood money. That will be his unraveling when it's all said and done.

Vitter had negatives that were pent up and released in the governor's race. He could have been re-elected senator forever. But he wanted the golden ring in La politics, the mansion.

Also not spending $27 on that book.
