Judge denies bail for suspects charged in Facebook Live attack

“Where was your sense of decency?” asked Cook County Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil before rejecting the suspects plea for a reasonable bail.
The Cook County prosecutors office charged Jordan Hill, 18, of Chicago; Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Cicero, Ill.; and sisters Brittany Covington, 18; and Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago, with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary in the alleged torture and kidnapping of the special-needs teen.

They should be getting at least 75 years in prison at a minimum.

Anyone who can engage in such behavior without showing any kind of humanity, like the named defendants, ought to be hanged in the city square. No person who can willingly torture and denigrate another human being in such a manner should be allowed to be a part of society.

Wow. You don't usually see people with no criminal history getting denied bail. Murders get a set bail.

I suspect it is due to the heinous nature of their crimes.
And murderers get set bail in incredibly high dollar amounts.

I wasn't commenting on these perps specifically. I was commenting on the fact that people that commit violent crimes usually still get bail unless they have criminal histories.
I'm guessing the fact that this was live streamed is fricking these thugs in the arse.
