The man served our country and from all accounts did so with the utmost respect for our flag and country especially during his time as a POW. I may not have agreed with his politics in his last years but I can’t help but give my gratitude to him as a warrior for me and my family’s freedom.

Let's start with this
in 2016 the motherfricker votes yes for a bill to repeal the ACA calling it the worst healthcare bill that possibly could have been passed when Obama was President and there was no chance of the bill being passed. Voted no on the same exact word for word bill in 2017 when Trump was President and it definitely would have been signed into law.
Or just how about not resigning when it was obvious that he was not up to doing the job.

Let's not pretend it is just someone's politics that we may dislike or disagree with. There is bad or indifferent political ideas, and then there is character of the person to consider. When the character of someone is disdainful then they deserve no respect for other reasons. The good one does gets white washed and dismissed in my opinion. Now, I don't celebrate that persons death unless they are tyrannical murderers and such.

He will be hailed as a war hero and great Senator, but in my mind he sold the American people down the road to line his pockets. Was elected to the seat in 1986 in that time he presided over a Government that has jacked up the Middle East, allowed the rise of AlQaeda and ISIS, and built up huge trade deficits with China.
