quote:Aside from his unbiblial views on other things like the purpose of life, a devout Christian minister should be very clear about where salvation is found. Jesus and the Apostles were clear and unapologetic for the exclusivity of Jesus Christ for salvation, yet Osteen continually hedges when asked about other religions. Instead of saying that he wants to preach the good news to all peoples of all faiths and backgrounds in the hope that they will accept the truth, he uses vague language about God's love. God's love is expressed through His son, Jesus Christ. If Osteen cannot declare that faith alone in Christ alone is the sole means for salvation for anyone, he is not preaching what Christ preached about himself.
Maybe that's the point, alot of people won't accept the street corner preacher, preaching fire and brimstone. But I can see how someone would take what he said in that interview and interpret that as you have.
The bible does say that the tongue is very unruly. We bless and curse with it. I just know that the times I have listened to him, he always asks his audience to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. I also know that if you're a public figure, people are going to take shots at you and none of us are perfect. I've said things plenty of times that were interpreted differently than what I intended. That's what Grace is there for, Thank Jesus for Grace!!

You must be one of Joel's TV competitors. Only way to explain your garbage.

Interesting, considering you're acting like the church's PR rep.
