Sounds like he was balanced, hit both sides. I laughed, cringed, and ooooh'ed...so it was what it should have been. For conservatives, it was the normal attacks, but liberals aren't used to this, so I bet the media hated it..

He tends to read well. By all accounts that have come forward he's not a jovial person to be around.

What they showed on "Meet the Press" wasn't very funny.

Watching the recap, I have to admit O got me with this one

quote:

“These days, House Republicans are actually giving John Boehner a harder time than they’re giving me, which means orange really is the new black.”

I remember the good old days when a tweet was something Barbara Walters gave her dog.

Did you come up with that or was it a joke from the dinner?

It was a Jimmy Kimmel joke from a previous such dinner.

Most of it was funny. The "cigar" joke relating to Clinton after Chelsea has her baby was one of those where you had to look around to see if anyone else laughed.

True, I guess it hits home that the first, first man could be a well, known sexual Predator. Truth sometimes isn't that focused.

He was horrible. Seth Myers makes him look a teenager at open mic night at a comedy club.

Meh, I'd rather the politicians and the press not be so chummy. Adversarial relationship =/= yukking it up at a black tie affair.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best by any means, but he had some good lines. The best one was actually not related to politics at all.

I'm Robert DeNiro's agent. "Ring ring. He'll take it!"

Obama is always good at these things. He has good delivery and can be charming in small doses. Gotta give credit to his social media people for taking advantage of it, with stuff like this and the Between 2 Ferns interview.

Norm McDonald during the Clinton years is one of my favorites.

Other than he doesn't make fun of himself, and attacks his rivals.

If you don't think he was mocked throughout the Between 2 Ferns segment, I don't know what to say. And they (either Obama or his staff) definitely had full edit on that entire segment.

Opinion piece Oh yes he was mocked, but the whole thing is that the President is supposed to make fun of himself also.
