Joe Manchin...for president?

Joe told Brian Kilmeade this morning that if after Super Tuesday it is between Trump and Biden, he would likely try to run as 3rd party candidate. Apparently the 3rd Party (No Labels) party is already on the ballot in 11 states. I know he has no chance...but who does the Rant think this move would hurt most? I think Trump and Biden each have their 35-40% of the electorate that aren't budging, but who does 3rd party hurt the most with the persuadables?

He's a liberal. It'll always hurt the Dems moreso.
I hope it happens.

Depends on the state, but he'd pull a decent amount, by Indy standards, of 2016 Trump/2020 Biden voters in the Rust Belt (which Trump needs this time) which would hurt Trump. He'd also pull a similar amount of Democrats in the Southeast which would hurt Biden.
Non-factor everywhere else

Would definitely take him over Nimrodda.

Democrats would lose their shite. They’re probably trying to figure out how to make it illegal somehow.

Trump has 40 to 45% solid nationwide regardless of who runs.
RFK2 is already the strongest 3rd party candidate since H. Ross Perot.
There is no path for Manchin other than to secure a massive landslide for DJT.

I know a guy real big in that "Party" in Texas. He believes Vendiman(sp)is a hero, hates Trump, Jan 6 was a coup, and thinks Biden is doing a great job.

I will believe it when I see it . He is just positioning for a bigger payoff by the democrats. This guy is best at playing politics.

He couldn't get elected in his home state, so run nationwide!
Let's see if Nikki can carry her home state. Polls show otherwise.

Not if there are middle of the road Dems that hate Biden enough to vote for Trump if their choice is Biden, Trump or Kennedy Jr. I think the Dems (and probably some establishment Republicans) plan is to make sure those Dems are not going over to Trump. They know they have a solid amount of votes no matter what. They want to give an alternative to those that will hold their nose and vote for Trump.
