When the "average" is Jerry Nadler, he's above average.

Jerry Nadler is below average, and Trump is right there with him.

Nadler is the average. That's how bad the quality of elected official has become since 2004.

He's below average for any conservative, which I suspect is the root of your confusion.

I really like Tulsi, but she brings nothing to the table for Trump. BUT she is from a tiny state that is probably the most D of all states - no hope of any support at all for electoral advantage.

IF there is some real advantage for a "woman" then there are several good conservative women who would be more helpful than Tulsi in electoral edge.

You said leadership. All elected officials, regardless of party, have the same opportunity to lead and do the right thing when in office. All are equally inept at it.

Not as VP. As Secretary of State, however...

I voted for Trump in 2016 for a very specific reason: To ensure that Hillary Clinton's signature was not on my retirement certificate when I left the Army.

Mission accomplished.

But I think we can do better now.

Can we? Have you seen who we elect to Congress? As governors?

They didn’t. I don’t recall Vivek, DeSantis, Gillum, etc, running in 16 or 20.

No one with a soul or anything to lose would run for office. Trump seems to be the only marginal exception.

The current environment certainly isnt helping attract better candidates.

Particularly with the loyalty issue that MAGA has. Its "His turn"

It's amazing how easy it is to politically flip people when you offer them money and threaten them with the full weight of the US Government

Odd thing to say considering Florida is the best run state in the country from a conservative perspective.
