Here's what she said in response to a ridiculous plaintiff's lawyer making the claim the Pledge predicates national loyalty via religious indoctrination, and thereby "invalidates atheism" as "downright unpatriotic":

Sounds like it had less to do with her religious beliefs then it did a lack of acceptance of settled law on the part of fringe elements.
