This is no different.

If it's murder why was Hinckley found not guilty then? Why is he free now?

Its not murder until the victim is dead.

Duh.

In your world I can shoot a guy in the head and if he stays alive on life support for a week and I'm able to plead guilty to attempted murder in 6 days - I'm good!

But we aren't talking about 6 days we are talking about 33 years. Not your hypothetical worlds but the real world.

If they had to wait for Brady to die are they gonna now put Hinckley in prison?

So, he never should have been charged with attempted murder?

He was found not guilty by reason of insanity and he's free right from the hospital right now. Was in a hospital the whole time and never went to prison.

Not guilty but Brady died of Homicide. Some legal system we got.

Oh and is it no surprise our resident liberal defending it is married to a lawyer.

I'm just telling you the law. If you intentionally inflict harm on someone with intent to do grave bodily injury - and they die as a result of those injuries - that is murder (outside of self defense). It doesn't matter if its a second later or 100 years. Its murder. That's the law.

If you seriously don't get how the charges change when the facts change - then I can't help you.

Eh. His dad was a lawyer.

I guess he had to land somebody that could support his spoiled, lazy fat arse in the manner he had grown accustomed to.
