Thanks to the Left, I'm officially running everything through the filter of "is it good for White people?" first and foremost.

Everybody else does it. It's time to get into the game.

Good thing the establishment is just too stupid to try any antics to keep us divided, amirite? I mean, we're just too fricking intelligent to fall for any of that, correct?

You want me to link all of my "you're dixiecrats and identitarians" posts over these months and years? Roger Klavern once had some very keen insights into the whole "I'm small government but I'm good with laws against baggy pants as long as it's done at the state level" phenomenon.

Did you think we were joking?

It isn't new. Congrats on being more comfortable in your skin, though. That's an important thing. See if you can move some of the others on here to self-awareness so we can have some more honest conversations on this board.

Well that's a shame for someone in an identity politics thread. You aren't an engineer by trade, per chance?

Honestly this can't be said enough. Movement conservatism was always a hollow canard for most regular folks in flyoverstan. I know it was for me. It was exhausting having to fool myself into being some kind of Cato Institute libertarian when all along I just wanted to have a government not being run by decadent elites who openly loathe Anglo-American culture.

I think what he's saying is that white legacy Americans adopted movement conservatism as a way to preserve Anglo-American culture from the onslaught of cultural marxism and never really cared about small government libertarian philosophy, and honestly he is right.

I've never been one of those people, frankly. I used to actually consider myself to be a classical liberal. I don't know what other conclusion a reasonable person can come to at this point.

It isn't that Conservatism sought to preserve "white identity" explicitly. It has just become clear that preserving Western values is primarily an interest of white people. Nobody else seems interested in anything but competition for resources and power on a tribal level.

In reality, it is the only position that makes any sense anymore.

I long for the days of Richard Russell, Herman Talmadge, and Harry Bird. Lester Maddox too.
