It's classic Newspeak - they're saying "Russians hacked the election" - which implies to the masses (at least on the left) that the election results were technically altered by expert Russian spies to make Trump win in swing states.
What ACTUALLY happened, was that, in addition to the other thousands of flaws their candidate (and her campaign had), there were all these terrible emails (basically open to anyone who wanted them - just look at her security for classified information while she was SECSTATE) - confirming what many suspected all along - that most of the fake news organizations (WAPO, NYT, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, HuffPo, CTR, Media Matters, etc.) are all just extensions of the Democrat party (have been for decades, essentially since WWII) pretending to be news organizations.
But, the fake news MSM cannot say that or report, "Hillary lost because she was as bad a candidate as there has ever been - someone revealed the ugly truth about her during this campaign" and they just tweaked that to "Russians hacked the election."
In other words, they think Americans are stupid (sadly, they are mostly right, generally.)
