in the video, wolf blizter says something like, "so lets be clear - youre recommending cutting off all foreign aid to Isreal?" and Rand says "Yes".

I recall the Blitzer interview and they were talking about ending all foreign aid. Blitzer being Blitzer had to emphasize Israel but the conversation was about ending all foreign aid.

That would naturally include Israel

youre gonna blame stewart for Paul lying? Does it really matter who "caught" the person in the lie?

For once id like to hear one of them be a man and own it.

I don't think he has ever, not once, attacked a democrat.

He goes for the low-hanging fruit which, more often than not, means republicans.

I saw the segment last night, and thought that it showed Rand in a decent light.

Yes, he said he never singled out a bill to defund Israel.

They couldn't show him submitting a bill.

In the end of the segment, he didn't look bad at all.

I don't see how RP overcomes this. By itself, it ends a campaign for president' D or R.

Had he just had the subway incident, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

But it was written in proposed legislation, and in direct questioning he confirmed it.

The most amazing part to it all...it is common-sense, correct thinking, and the right thing to do. But every Gentile in U.S. Politics is so afraid of the Jews, it will never happen.

Paul is a shameless plagiarist. Most politicians don't dabble in plagiarism

However, never has he attacked Obama personally.

He hammered Obama pretty bad for the "you can keep your doctor" fiasco.

I'd say the people Stewart has attacked the most are Anthony Weiner, Bill O'Reilly and the Fox morning trio. All of which deserve every bit of satire thrown their way.

But to deny that Rand completely lied about pulling aid from Israel, and proposing it is just foolish. He's caught on video.

I think JS is pretty funny but the only thing that bugs me is that when he's wrong or someone calls him out, he makes a very smug comment, moves on and skirts the issue much like Bill Maher. Many of these comedians that think they're political views are valued but they use very cheap cop outs.

except that he said he didnt say it and propose it, yet he did both.

He would have been batter off owning it and making up some BS about why he changed his position.

they all do that. Bill Oreilly (especially) and Hannity (to a lesser extent) wont let you get a word in and constantly talk over the person they are interviewing.

They all have their tactics.

Please show me where he authored, sponsored, or even supported a bill to defund Israel.

He wanted to end all foreign aid, without the exception of Israel. He included them in the bill.

That whole Wolf segment was BS. It was a quick quip at the end, and Paul handled it as well as he could have.

This slight attack is only the beginning. If you thought what "they" did to his father was bad, wait until you see the multisided attacks on him. Holy moly!

I think it's pointless for Paul to flip-flop on Israel since AIPAC will never, ever trust him anyway. That horse has already left the barn, and now all he's doing is making folks who like him for his non-interventionist foreign policy stance worry that he might be a run-of-the-mill sell-out like all the rest of the politicians in Washington.
