It's not JUST that the Democrats have destroyed their brand

It's that they have now saddled themselves as the " Progressive media party". By merging their party with the Progressive Agitprop Culture of Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper they have assumed all the loathing that "normals" have for the media onto themselves. Unwittingly, the Democratic Party has now entered into a joint venture with the only American Institution that people loathe more than them. And they did this intentionally. And now that they are all lubed up, sharing a room and spooning in public they have no other option but to keep going down the rabbit hole together until the whole thing collapses on top of them .
And it was Donald freaking Trump Celebrity Apprentice of all people that set them on the path to self- immolation. It's beautiful on so many levels. Please take a moment to enjoy this and have a little chuckle at their expense. You only see hubris like this a couple of times in a lifetime. It's a suicide pact of the worst people in America and it's glorious.

The problem with your analysis is that The Republican Party has literally never been stronger. That's just math .
The second problem with your analysis is that Trump co-opted millions of Democrats and expanded the party geographically in ways that The Establishment party never could.
The third problem with your analysis, is that unlike Democrats, Republican voters totally understand how much their Party sucks and they did not allow their Party to fix the election to secure an Establishment nominee.
You can say " wait until next year" all you want but that won't change the fact that Democrats are HISTORICALLY weak. At a time when Republican voters are more skeptical of their own party than ever.
