Although I wouldn't characterize a tweet as evidence, it's not just Trump.

That explains the differences in the current parties. Conservatives still see the world as right and wrong. Most live by a code that if you do the right thing that things will eventually work out. Most will not compromise their morals for political gains. The left don't care. its win no matter what. They will cross any line if the end justifies the mean.
