Yeah, both sides of this conflict do pretty awful things...why do we care, why do we pick sides?

If you watch the videos of this incident ... looks to me to be staged for this very purpose.

Looks to me like the people with the cameras convinced the young kid that he'd be taking an arse whoopin' for the cause.

That's my bet.
Looks to me that it is too easy to "stage" a beating on a skinny 15 year old kid.

Yeah I second that. Video does not look right at all. Even the "victim" had his head covered. Find it odd they whip someone's arse while their wearing a head scarf and it stays on even after the beating. They've staged these videos in the past and that's exactly what this one looked like.

Interestingly, the PT board fills up with arch-skeptics once they read something they don't agree with. Funny how that works.

yeah, kid visiting doesn't know to run like the other kids. how does he have a slingshot? He probably did what every "non-guilty" person does in the US....not run from police.
I have read many accounts of people who were not guilty running from the police in the United States. At least the people who ran from the police professed their innocence.

What evidence do you have to support what you assert in probable?

at best they found a slingshot on the ground from one of the kids that ran and they claim it is his.
Again, what is you evidence?

I hear so much about the atrocities committed by Israel...yet never peep about Iran, Syria, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia...those countries are obviously full of freedom and have never done anything even remotely questionable to any citizen ever.
I am pretty sure we would hear about it if Saudi Arabian police beat up on some kid from Qatar, or one of the countries started bombing another country over 3 dead teenagers with zero evidence.

But besides that there is news about stonings, guilty verdicts over being a Christian, adultury, a child running away from an arranged marriage, etc.

Or ... maybe the PT board has people who have spent significant time in the Middle East, know the tactics of certain groups in the region, and know a staged incident when they see one.

Sure ... the cops weren't in on it ... but, the kid was put in that position for a reason ... the reason being, so that him getting his assed whipped could easily be recorded ... and then use of the footage for exploitation.

so by staged you mean....that by him just being there he'd get his arse beat?

quote:

In March, Israeli forces shot and killed Yousef al-Shawamrah, 14, with live ammunition in the southern West Bank near his village of Deir al-Asal al-Fawqa. He was shot while looking for thistle in an area of land belonging to the village that now sits on the other side of Israel’s separation barrier. As he and two friends crossed through an open area, soldiers fired live ammunition toward the boys, hitting Yousef in the hip and back.

quote:

In December 2013, Wajih Wajdi al-Ramahi, 15, from Jalazoun refugee camp north of the West Bank city of Ramallah was fatally shot with live ammunition fired by an Israeli soldier. Documenting the killing, DCI-Palestine found that Wajih had been shot in the back from a distance of 150-200 meters (about 500 feet).

Well, his arrest is real, and has been confirmed by Israel, and I doubt you're saying the real Israeli police are in on it.

So I guess your working theory is the Palestinians staged a fake beating on video, then sent his cousin to a protest, at which point he gets beaten for real? The post-beating pictures are taken from a hospital. Or did they get some makeup, stage the hospital photos as well, and THEN send him to the protest, at which point he gets arrested, and they then release the fake video and photos? And Israel then does not immediately call the pictures and video out as being fake, instead merely saying it is "edited and biased?" And they release him looking like this?

If "leaders" can get a person to strap bombs to themselves for the purpose of human IEDs ... how hard do you think it is for a them (via one of many methods) to convince a 15 year old to take a beating ... so they can be waiting to record (the good parts) from a special vantage point?

No one is denying that the kid got beaten to a pulp by the police.

If this is the kid I'm thinking of, Israeli officials claim he attacked the police with a knife before the video started.

Surely you don't take at face value what the Israelis say, do you? Are you aware of the fact that CNN cameras recently caught an Israeli sniper killing a Palestinian kid in cold blood who wasn't doing anything?

Israeli officials say the three were abducted while hitchhiking home

"They kidnapped me," a voice, believed to be Gilad Shaar, can be heard saying. Another male voice is then heard, shouting, "head down." Police confirmed the recording is authentic. Hotline workers initially dismissed the call as a hoax

seems "staged"...the bodies were found buried. Why would Hamas kidnap them, then kill them, then bury them?

If it was death....then kill them where you found them
If it was kidnapping...then why no hostage demands?
If hate crime killing...then why the burial?

More plausible....accidentally killed by IDF, then "staged" hamas killing, with fake 911 phone call later

Okay, follow-up question: if that's the extent of your conspiracy theory, how does any of it justify the actions of the police?
