Might be Gaza, l; thought about it as soon as I hit submit. Not that it matters. Hamas is the democratically-elected representative of the Palestinian people. Pretty much semantics and spin from there. Israel don't play word games, like we do over here. They'd be fine...just being left alone on their little soil. Of course, we all know that will never happen.

Hamas runs Gaza. They elected them. They kinda run the West Bank too (not to be confused with Algiers, Harvey, Gretna, Westwego, ect), but not really.

RCD, it baffles me that someone who is such a fan of Rand Paul would love war as much as you do.

I'm a virtual isolationist now, TF...after reading Michael Schueur's expose re Islam and nation building. But even he realizes that a showdown with Islamists is inevitable, less they junk the whole Religion.

As Israel is the 'enemy of my enemy', and a decent people (other than the usual media tar)...I support them. And believe it's in our Nation's best interest to do so. Islam will hate us regardless the Jews; for our godlessness, perversion and selfish narcissism and rejection of 'social justice'. They have a point; but so does Obama. 'Process'....matters.

I almost wrecked my wife's Mustang dodging a big grasshopper the other day. I hate killing. Period. But there are things that are worse. Letting someone else do the dirty work for the blessings which I enjoy...comes to mind.

You can be a Ron Paul fan and still be pro war, especially if it's between countries not named United States of America

As long as we don't pay for it, (which we do now and shouldn't) Israel should be free to do whatever they want and pay the consequences of their actions.

When you stop treating countries like children, they stop acting like them.

If you're familiar with all of Michael Scheuer's views, you must also know that he's diametically opposed to you on Israel.

Considering that Hamas and Fatah have reconciled, it's not like it really makes a difference which group of a-holes they voted for.
Do you have any idea what you're talking about? They "reconciled" to hold a single set of elections at the end of the year. That's it. They didn't get any representation in the government. There isn't a single Hamas member in the interim cabinet.

Ron Paul was the only Presidential candidate to advocate going in with the full force of the military, turn the place into a parking lot, and then COME HOME.
Every other candidate was a puppet of the corporate/banking Fascist elite, which needed the "war" to last indefinitely, which Paul saw coming and was strongly against.

There's nothing in Paul's background that indicates that he would enjoy agitating war between two other countries for sport. As a matter of fact, I know he's opposed to the U.S. taking any sides in the Israeli-Arab conflict.

Amen! Israel and Saudi Arabia would behave much more responsibly if they didn't have the U.S. backing them up.

THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING. AS LONG AS WE STAY OUT OF IT, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER YOU'RE "FOR" OR "AGAINST" IT. IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM EITHER WAY!

No one is advocating that the U.S. involve itself or agitate and stir up shite. Some of us are merely saying that we support Israel's right to do this or Palestine's right to retaliate. You see, we can support it all we want, like rooting for Notre Dame against Alabama. It doesn't change who wins. It doesn't change who loses. It doesn't cost money to be a spectator. As long as the U.S. is not involved, you can take whatever side you want.

I disagree.

I believe they would wipe each other out in two seconds if we didn't bribe them not to. And there is too much money/natural resources involved to let that happen.

I say let them wipe each other out. That area of the world is so small yet contributes to so many of the world's problems. frick 'em all.

So...we should have let Hitler have Europe? No stands on political/ideological Principle with regard to weaker brethren/allies? Let em' get whacked by a bigger bully?

Book it...Paul knows what Islamists are up to; if he - or anybody - don't....they will in the near future. Good by Jordan. Good luck.

We can run...but we can't hide.

I gotta paint.

We let Hitler have Europe until he declared war on us. That seemed to work out pretty well. Obviously, if a country declares war, we will retaliate.

My thoughts...

- Hamas needs to go. Any Palestinian goverment that does not recognize Isreal's right to exist should be discredited by US and the UN.
- Isreal needs to stay out of the negative side of this mess. Beating up kids that get paraded on TV does not help their cause. Even if their actions are justified. they have all of the guns and firepower. they just look like a bully.

Hamas is just the flip side of Likud, which runs the Israeli government and which does not recognize the Palestinians right to exist.

EDIT: As for beating up the kid, there are plenty of instances of the Israelis doing this kind of stuff all over youtube, but the only reason this instance made it into the American MSM is because the kid they beat is an American.
