It is called counter-battery fire. They calculte the point of origin (ground based radar, etc) and return fire. Don't put it in a hospital and they will not fire on the hospital.

Personally I would like to see Israel just charbroil a square mile area surrounding any missile launch they detect. This shite would end with the quickness.

What the hell does Hamas killing innocents have to do with Israel killing innocents?
If it is bad for one it is bad for the other, be consistent.
Meanwhile, since the conflict has began, 2 Israeli citizens have died (1 was helping the IDF) and over 400 Gazas citizens have died (100 of which are children).

Those structures are protected as long as combatants aren't using it to store weapons or for fighting.
If they start firing missiles from there or storing missiles there, it becomes a legitimate target.
Considering that Israel has been telegraphing where they'd hit before sending in the full fury, they're giving civilians a chance to move before shite gets real.

And that has absolutely nothing to do with how Hamas positions their fighters and weapons. It's bad that civilians get caught in the middle, but Hamas is intentionally putting them there to create international sympathy when the civilians are killed.

They lose either way. Hamas should obviously stop firing on innocents, but that in no way justifies Israel's actions nor does it deny the Palestinians claim of abuse at the hands of the Israeli government.
