Why? It makes your guilt go away?

So, there is only redemption available to liberals?

Your compassion is overwhelming.

But, hey, stay on point, brah - herd those darkies back into the pen and give them pre-filled out "D" ballots.

Y'all are going to need them next week.

They did a very similar video back in January, right after the SOTU. The guy who did 20 years in prison ran for Congress as a Republican in 2013 and lost by 49 points after winning the primary by 23 votes. No one should be surprised here.

Actually, there are few things cooler than self-made people, regardless of color. Period.

Why?
Because TUba, "they built that."
They did it. Someone else did not "do it for them."

Self-made people are exceptionalism personified.

They are witnesses to strife, perseverance, dreams, courage and accomplishment.

Self-made people are of clear understanding that "hope" is no method; and "change" is no endpoint.

So when Obama tells you "someone else built that for you," THEY are the "someone else."

That's why.

Nice try, but the black politicians ain't the problem. Neither are the white politicians the problem. Politicians ain't gonna fix yo problems. You've got to walk that lonesome valley by yourself.

It is a very healthy trend, regardless.
The message is sound. The contemplation is necessary, and it really doesn't matter which party ends up benefitting. Certainly party benefit matters not an iota to me. The approach to transgenerational indigency in general, and AA indigency in particular, has simply got to change. The conversation, if it occurs, will be extremely beneficial.

Welfare and government assistance has turned into bribery on a massive scale... a far-cry from what it was intended to do for people trying to get back on their feet. African Americans are starting to pick up on it now, and good for them.
Some of LBJ's private conversations show that he knew exactly what he was doing.

And, the actual quote from LBJ involved the N word. But, he only said 'for 100 years.' So, in 2064 things might change. I won't be here and I doubt it will change.

In 1968, RFK said he could see a day in 40yrs when a Black Man would be elected POTUS. Politicians occasionally understand more than we credit them for.

There is a guy in Washington DC right now who could make that conversation happen. He would be hailed as one of the greatest Prezs ever. I'd recommend he be put on Mt Rushmore. Just think of the opportunity Obama has now. He's the guy who could do it. It's a Nixon and China, Billy Jeff and welfare reform, Reagan and USSR moment.

That ship has sailed.

What a missed opportunity.
