Is it a good thing if people can opt out of Obamacare?

If millions were able to voluntarily opt out of mandatory health insurance without tax penalties or fines.....would that be a good thing or a bad thing in your opinion?

Freedom of choice is always a good thing but those that opt out must take full financial responsibility for their decision; no going to the ER and then saying they can't pay.

Good thing. People shouldn't have to buy something they don't want to buy. But then again, I'm also against charity systems too...you don't have insurance or a means to pay...roll the dice with your own life...don't expect me to pay for your stupidity. Go file for MediCAID at least.

I think I'm in this boat too.
Not having health insurance isn't the same as not having health care....so if you don't have thousands sitting around in case something happens, you should probably get some kind of insurance.

Obamacare (ACA) isn't just insurance though; it is a system of shite that fricks with/up all insurance.
I wish I could opt out of it and still keep my insurance the way it was three years ago.

Exactly. Repeal Obamacare and let the states replace.
The Feds can pass a law allowing Americans to purchase their policies across state lines.
