Thought Republicans were supposed to be pro free trade so I'm wondering how Trumps rhetoric will end up playing out...

No, it will cause cost-push inflation. But Trump voters cannot understand this concept. Which is why they voted for Trump.

The free trade that we have had lately, isn't really "free".
The playing field has been tilted against us for quite a few years.
With the resources that we have,If we really had free trade,we wouldn't have a trade deficit.

what made you think that? Liberals like Sam Walton and Bill Clinton were the leaders of "free" trade.

He wants fair free trade. China charging retarded fees and dictating what we can bring in is not fair trade when they can basically import whatever they want.

Hell they just started allowing US beef in after 15 year ban. WE (the US) need to start calling the shots

NAFTA was supported by H.W. and the legislation was passed to Clinton. It passed the House and Senate with heavy republican support.

Many Dems supported it too.

"Free Trade" is code for Open Border.

Are you intentionally ignorant, or just in the dark?

There's a difference between "free" trade and "fair" trade.

Sure we do. And our problems on wall street are because we have so much capitalism.

Lol. So you don't want free trade. You want to force corporations to take massive losses in the face of insane taxes and regulations so people here can work. That's not free trade. Not even close.

The term free trade has become a joke.

Yeah more and more economic nationalists look like a group that wants to force private companies to do something against their personal interest for the short term gain of their workers. If only we had a term for that.

So I guess you just want an entire lower class of americans with no skills to just live off the government forever? The only jobs they can do are being outsourced to foreign countries. We will pay for it either way whether it be via higher taxes to pay their benefits or if they get jobs maybe they get off the government teet.

One way or another we have to give the lower class money, they may as well work for it

Im kidding. We don't have free trade, trump doesn't want free trade, and our problems on wall street are due to a lack of capitalism.
