Don't get me wrong, I think any democrat still in congress who voted for Obamacare should be censured and removed from the legislature, and those on the Supreme Court who saddled us with this unconstitutional law should be impeached. But enforcing a law that has been passed by congress and signed by the president does not make an agency rogue.

I feel truly sorry for those getting the worst of this socialist-democrat utopian dream come true, but maybe the more it hurts, the more people will understand the ignorance and idiocy of allowing socialist democrats into positions of power, and dictating policy.

How the frick can they do this?

I thought Trump signed an EO making it illegal to penalize people for not having coverage.

Another case where Trump won't be hard enough on them. If I were Trump, I'd fire all the top people at the IRS today, right now.

They aren't directly imposing a penalty.

Good thing I won't be getting a return. They don't have to cash my check if they don't want to

Rejecting an incomplete return is not directly imposing a penalty for not having healthcare coverage. I'm not saying I agree with what the IRS is doing but I imagine that's how they are looking at this.

he did my guess is that the irs is interpreting that as applying to just the tax year 2016 those returns filed this past april.

my guess is that they'll end up suspending it again.

This means they're going to collect back penties when the Dems inevitavly reinstate the worst portions of the law since the idiot Republicans couldn't get their heads out of their own asses long enough to pass a bill.

And Trump can sign another EO prohibiting the IRS from doing this.

Which brings us to a more important question: why hasn't that MFer Koskinen been fired yet?

The statement they put out references tax year 2017 (2018 filing season). Fwiw, they relaxed the efile rejection threat last year after Trump came into power.

Also, the EO didn't make the ACA penalty illegal.
