What is the point?

Are you a woman? If not you'll never know or understand, so don't try.

They have no clue what the purpose is. Protesting rights they already have and are in no danger of losing

Heck, I'm a woman and I don't understand it.

it doesn't matter

I'll say this - the only people on campus I've seen with red on today are a few female professors and some obviously cucked guys.

I think the organizers of this effort didn't do a good job of getting their message out.

It's a day where women get to play victim and hero at the same time on a public stage.

Women are half of the human population and they get a day. Like Congrats on being something that you had a 50% chance of being?

Why don't men get a day too?

Do I get a day off of work or a free BJ on men's day? It's such a pointless feel-good exercise like a majority of these days and events to "start a conversation" or "raise awareness".

Again if people wouldn't complain about it nobody would even know these things exist or care about them at all.

They actually get 2 days, this one, and that shameless money grab on February 14th.

Also, women get treated exponentially better on mother's day than we do on father's day.

"But but but, muh gender inequality".

FWIW, there's an international men's day too. It's in November. But here's your answer below.

quote:

The global women’s celebration day was launched to advocate for improved rights and pay for women, while International Men’s Day focuses on raising awareness for discrimination and male health.

speak for yourself. My dad loves Father's Day. Last 20 years we have gone to the family lakehouse for the weekend, bought him a 12 pack and let him have peace and quiet. It's one of his favorite weekends of the year.
