In light of the CBS Down's story....let's revisist what happens when we can test for gay

Now that we've seen people arguing that, "hey, all good........mom's choice to get rid of down's baby", I want to revisit a point I commonly make.
I often point out that the left is going to get suddenly conflicted if a test for "gay" during pregnancy is ever developed.
Often, I get the silly, "well, the people who would abort gays don't believe in abortion" claptrap. Of course, that's flamingly silly, but hey, this down's thing illustrates that.
I mean, surely, the left isn't telling me that they "hate" people who have Downs, right? No, I suspect not. They are simply acknowledging that parents, when confronted with possibly difficulty, often will choose the easier road.
So. I say again. Assuming the liberals are right and gay is born in, then one day, the rubber is gonna meet the road on this abortion thing.
And not just gay. A LOT of things will suddenly become "not OK" to abort for.

also, why stop there? lets abort kids who maybe be more likely to be obese or get cancer! kill cancer before it starts REEEEEE!

He was talking about this exact topic last week --
How the gays are going to split with the abortion crowd when people start aborting gay babies.
ETA His original premise was that when you stock your party with a variety of groups of outcasts; they will eventually turn on each other when their causes reach cross purposes.

Regardless, I would hope that if we can screen for these things we would also be at a point where gene therapy could eradicate things like down syndrome.

I'm not sure they will even be that consistent.
It's much more likely they'll wear their hypocrisy on their sleeves and say abortion should be legal except in that specific case, or at least, they will defend abortion while shaming the gay abortion aspect of it.

They have just recently had a breakthrough in gene splicing. I'd say it's more likely that gene splicing and parents being able to pick and choose genes will come first and be a much bigger can of worms.

You are conflating a genetic, multi-systemic neurodevelopmental disorder with a sexual orientation. A slight false equivalence, no?

I think the evidence points to sexual orientation being epigenetic, so not completely.
