Earth will be just like Venus by 2025!

The OP example is just as much a cherry-picked outlier as "it's 90 degrees in Feb in Texas, therefore man-made GW".
So you're ignoring trend of increasing temperatures and amount of carbon dioxide in the air that coincides with the start of the industrial revolution.... Got it

I have a hard time paying attention to global warming whiners when the largest polluters in the world pretty much don't give a shite.
China has got to be laughing at the USA while they profit to death selling to us...

I'm not ignoring anything. I'm simply stating that using cherry-picked hot days in 2017 as evidence of a long-term shift is just as absurd as picking the 20 degree low we had in BR 2 months ago to show the opposite.

Exactly. What will our carbon tax and credits and things really do in the long run when you've got such thick smog in Beijing that you can't even see in front of your face... Seems pointless
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. America's share of CO2 emissions is something like .00004%, just by averaging the CO2 output per individual. It's even less than that considering the technology level of other countries compared to our own, and our ability to lower emissions.

Don't be sad because your favorite hoax is yet again exposed as a hoax. See it as a learning experience...an oppotunity to grow up and start living in the real world. One day, you'll look back and it will all seem funny.
*I'm laughing already!*

I do however believe the GOP should be trying to incorporate more common sense policies on the environment.
I agree. The first thing that should be done, imo, is scrap all the fake "green energy" boondoggles of wind and solar. Their only objective application is in the single homestead or "commune" setting. The crap just simple doesn't work as evidenced by real life applications in other countries. It's a scam, who's time has come to stop the raping of the American taxpayer by the "Green Energy Industrial Complex.

Solar isn't going to be able to replace coal, oil and gas for electricity for 100 years - at least.
Technically, it can. Realistically it cannot scale up in a few years to match those industries that have been around for 100.

So, you're good for nukes to bridge the gap?
Absolutely. Molten salt reactors fail-safe. Due to the bad press (deservedly so) of 3 Mile Island, Chernobyl, and others - it will be hard to sell it to the public. But molten salt cooled reactors do not require power to shut down.

Another person who doesn't know the difference between climate and the weather.

It'd be nice if they weren't the types from Avatar or fern gully
But they are. Although that's largely due to them relying on campaign donations from big energy companies.. They don't want to shite where they eat

If it doesn't work then why is China investing so much money in solar

Threads like this (or rather, the mindset that produces them) is why liberals are able to push climate change legislation so easily.
When people deny global warming exists, it's easy to just point and laugh at them and allows them to ignore the real questions: What can we do to meaningfully change it that wouldn't involve collapsing the global economy?
