I love when people claim they aren’t a democrat but opine that adding a 3rd justice to the SCOTUS isn’t a win. Trump supporters and Never Trumpers should, at the very least, be united over adding Republican appointed federal judges and SC justices to the judiciary.

There’s no doubt it’s a win. I do worry about at what cost however to this election. There’s a good portion of voters who don’t want to see the Court leaning heavily in either direction. They won’t necessarily object to a 6-3 Court especially with Roberts but wouldn’t want to see it go farther than that. Maintaining might be a preference. Take that on top of the fact that a healthy majority don’t want to see Roe vs Wade overturned and I’m more worried about this election than ever. The seat still needs to be filled though.

Same goes for any other POTUS and the US Congress. It's one of those meaningless things that libertarians talk about that everyone knows will never happen.
