"if you are a white male and you feel oppressed, boy are you ignorant"

This was posted in a non-troll manner in another thread on the poliboard about 25 minutes ago.
Am I wrong in thinking this is a racist statement, in and of itself? Making assumptions of someone's wellbeing based on their skincolor seems to fit to a tee the definition of racism, which is making assumptions about a person based on the color of their skin.
Personally, my view is that an extremely small amount of americans can objectively claim to be "oppressed", but the intent of the quoted statement is to somehow imply that white men have it good in america, and don't have a right to complain about anything.
That seems like an absurd belief.
Thoughts?

I think that's the root of your disconnect. If the quote is meant literally, that white men as a class are not oppressed in this country, then I would agree. If the poster meant that white men don't have the right to complain anything, then I would disagree.
Words have meaning, after all.

I don't really know anyone who that is "oppressed" in this country. I certainly don't think white males are "oppressed" but I think you're asking about having problems?

I am white, straight, and male. That is the trifecta of not being oppressed.
Not once in my life have I felt oppressed. Any white straight male that does is a snowflake.
