I am just asking this because it is the obvious play and the most likely source of leaks.

Edited the subject to be more neutral.

His stance on marijuana / states rights is enough to make me say move on from him if he's a problem.

That's a losing battle that we need someone who can take a Constitutional side on that instead of a federal one. It's going to happen either way. No reason to allow the Dems to have the high ground on that one.

I would be conflicted as hell.

Sessions is an old dinosaur that's a complete dumbass on the war on drugs, asset forfeiture and private prisons he would do great harm to the incredible progress we've made ending the War on Drugs.

On the other hand, frick giving the anonymous and unaccountable to voters bureaucracy in the deep state another scalp.

No conflict here. If Trump allows this to stand, He will play into the Dems hands.

Trump needs to take a stand here and now!

Right now I think sessions is trump's only mistake so far.

Flynn never should have been canned imo.

I agree.

I was confused as to the OP's "most likely source of leaks" reference.

Agreed.

Flynn was going to reorganize the IC and make them truly accountable to an elected government and release the full details of the Iran Deal that Obama's NSA kept hidden, and correctly labeled the enemy as radical islamic terrorists. He was a threat to them.

Yeah he's not a leak source. His department probably is. But they're going to have to actually catch someone first and then nail them to a cross for that to stop.

In the meantime, Sessions is a dinosaur. If he can't get behind a states rights argument, I have zero issues with him getting pole axed. Just hope its Trump swinging the thing instead of the Dems claiming a scalp.

And what's worse, from their perspective, is Flynn was a Democrat who went to the Republican convention and yelled "lock her up." They have to really hate the guy -- a Benedict Arnold to them.

If he does - as a moderate democratic - this will make me start saying "trump is a genius".

I think our thoughts on Sessions are similar. Be great if Sessions was here for 1-2 years then was never heard from again. On the other hand, I wouldn't give them Eric Holders head if they asked for it. Let them moan.

Most of them would be happy except for the message it might send. Seriously, even the Trumpkins have basically called Sessions a scumbag authoritarian.

What is this bullshite? There is another thread next to this one showing the dishonesty of this "controversy", more out of context bullshite.

I've read all these threads ands I haven't the slightest clue what the supposedly bad thing is.

He met with the Russian ambassador. Um. That's what they're for.

Russia is a big player on the world stage. I suspect half of Washington has spoken with Russian officials in the last 12 months. Probably more.

And what if he did discuss the election? That sort of seems a natural subject to have talked about in the last year or so.

Is it that we're just supposed to be outraged because Russians now?
