Uh.. when did he lie about it? Is he supposed to remember every single person who was at every single meeting he's ever had? Honestly. Is he? Maybe the guy was insignificant, didn't say anything, didn't warrant Trump's attention... who knows. Heck, I can't remember my wife's birthday half the time... and that's a whole lot more important than this. Just ask her.

To obtain security clearance the answer is yes, you have to remember every single person.
Hell, Don jr called the russian thing made up just days after this meeting.
