Or any other idea put forth to restrict that activity.

To me burning a flag in that instance would be the proper thing to do as a freedom loving American.

Americans' rights > any symbol

The problem is that people have not figured out the difference between the right to do something and the good common sense not to do it.

And I would personally whip your arse in defense of that flag.

If they did so then they didn't have a clue what they were really defending.

I agree that people should be allowed to burn the flag.

But I also think it's a very simple-minded and moronic way to protest.

Please, please do this and organize all your progressive friends to do so as well. That is EXACTLY what will bring outsiders to support your ideas.

Remember this when you are comfortable in your bed tonight. When you get to see your family and hold them and kiss them today.

You are a piece of shite.

So the flag is more important than the 1st Amendment?

What other symbols are more important than our rights? Bald Eagles? What if I were destroying the seal of the US?

Why is this so hard to understand? Just because it is legal, doesn't make it nice or respectful. Especially to the people at have sacrificed so much for this country. It really isn't that hard.

I'm not trolling.

But do the people on this board really value freedom or not?

Fair point.

This could be said about almost any protest undertaken in the US. There will be somebody, somewhere who is offended.
