Trump however is actually more favorable than congress as a whole.
Yes he is. And I don't think he would get down to 15% even if he admitted to a slew of illegal things, including illegally helping the Russians launder money and hack the election for political favors.

Obviously none of that happened, but my point is that, most politicians, have a floor because they have some base of supporters that is unconditionally dedicated to the politicians themselves, with no sense or care for rationality.

Apparently the lowest approval rating in history was George W Bush, the month before the 2008 election. I mean that was when the Democrats were using him to make gains, and the Republicans were trying to distance themselves to limit those gains.

I'm actually surprised it was that high, because I don't know many, and I can't recall any, who were approving of him at that point, even Republicans. And I don't think (maybe I'm wrong) he had that same base that Trump has.

Funny that you just don't get it. Isn't the point of bad poll numbers to demonstrate vulnerability in the next election? Seriously, in the grand scheme of things, what impact do these poll numbers have on the future of Cryin Chuck Schumer?

You went off on a tangent that the OP was not intending. The OP has nothing to do with poll numbers concerning re-election of congress members or Trump. The OP was to show how the Enemedia/MSM only want to harp on Trump's poor favorability while ignoring the obvious terrible favorability of congress.

I didn't go off on a tangent. I replied to a separate comment he made, which said nothing about the media, not his original post. Go back and look again. I didn't reply to the original post.

In the last 7 years the congress approval rating was really low. How did that turn out for the democrats?
