The Navy should be allowed to administratively address the fact this guy acted dishonorably and violated the SEAL code of conduct. The Army does tab revocations for situations just like this.
LMAO, you sound like one of those jaded and jealous cubicle warriors... I picture you as a more pudgy LTC Vindman type fricker...

Basically every military officer I know disagrees with his decision to subvert the military justice process. Case in point is SECNAVY committing career suicide by refusing to implement the pardon. You think that decision was made on a whim? No; there were several Admirals who agreed with his decision to refuse the order, and supported him.
It's never a wise idea to get fixated on one politician to the point where you dont assess if their decisions are for the best. Thinking dear leader "can do no wrong" will only lead to disappointment when one or more their decisions doesnt work in the intended way.
That said, the pardons themselves aren't the problem. What they symbolize is the problem. If our Commander-in-Chief has to constantly go against military law, it shows deficiency in trust.
If you cant trust your military personnel to make the best decisions or constantly undermine them, then why have them serve in the first place.

It's never a good idea to use a straw man either. It makes you look unintelligent and unable to address the actual reasons people have given for supporting this decision.

The Constitution puts command of the military in the hands of a civilian because of the exact mindset you portray.
You aren't special.

Trump's strain with Pentagon inspires talk of more departures
President Donald Trump came into office vowing to unshackle his military commanders from years of Obama-era micromanagement. But now he’s facing a rupture with his Pentagon leaders after steamrolling them on a series of decisions — from Mideast troop movements and the use of military funds for a border wall to disciplinary actions involving individual commandos.
Even before Navy Secretary Richard Spencer’s forced ouster this weekend, a handful of the Pentagon's highest-ranking officials have been debating just when they would feel compelled to resign over what they see as Trump's disregard for the chain of command, two current senior officials told POLITICO in recent days. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss internal deliberations.

Bold coming back to the thread after you have been outed by multiple people, Navytiger74.
We'll see how that works out for you.

I'm not straw manning. And I realize that this pardon doesn't force anyone to hire him back. A retirement essentially solves all the problems.
I meant that nobody Democrat, Republican, Independent, etc. should be above speculation or questioning their decisions. A good leader sometimes has to make hard decisions. But those decisions dont always have to be hard if they are willing to cooperate.

You're plainly implying that people are approving of this simply because Trump made the decision and he's their "deal leader". There have been a few different multi-page threads with people discussing WHY it was a good decision.

Who is saying that? Nobody.

If you were holding a gun and kicking in a door that you knew a ruthless terrorist was hiding behind, and that *Admirals* like the one who resigned, were going to prosecute YOU, if you shot one of the women/children 'martyrs' that said terrorist would be hiding behind...only then would you understand.
Or you could have been on that 'rooftop' in Benghazi, waiting for your Brothers, and knowing for SURE that they would be coming. But sorely mistaken...thanks to your *Admiral* and his ilk.
You are likely a "Black Lives Matter" supporter too.
Trump is winning the allegiance of the people who wield lethal force. Just like he's winning the allegiance of our Citizens...instead of illegal immigrants...especially the Cartel, heathen version. He'll need both the sane Citizens and Shooters, most likely. To beat back what is obviously the destruction (via "fundamental change") of our Nation.
Damn shame it has to go down like this. Pray for Vision.
