1- you were spineless throughout the process of passing it!

2- you are stupid enough to not get the message out. Not one person has lost any coverage that has Obamacare. Are you too stupid to point that out.

3-stop giving them a platform. Are you that damn stupid? Just stop!

4- get your act together and get something done.

In short, your stupid arses are creating the issue!

I don't feel sorry either. They should expect this behavior, especially senators. They need to he prepared to engage with dissenters and make them look foolish. If they need a model, they should look at how Ted Cruz handles hecklers. There are some masterful debates that on youtube of idiots shouting at him, Ted stopping what he's doing to engage them, and then providing them with the facts that completely dismantled their arguments without coming across as combative or argumentative.

Don't shout down opposition. Don't shut out opposition. Use it, turn it, and promote it as you being willing to stand up to criticism and handle it like an adult. The shills may not be swayed, but the moderates eat that stuff up.

Not a bit, though for different reasons.

Regardless of what side you are on, Obama care was not working.

I don't feel sorry for them either, but I disagree with most of your rationale.

Maybe because they were powerless? What did you expect them to do with a D president, D supermajority in the Senate, and D +11% in the house?
quote:

Not one person has lost any coverage that has Obamacare.
What do you mean? Aren't people saying their concerned they WILL lose coverage? It's hard to answer an unknowable question.
quote:

stop giving them a platform.
Stop giving their constituents a platform to speak their mind, irrational or not? How is that justifiable on a representative government?
quote:

get your act together and get something done.
Agreed, but it's not like passing something today is going to have much difference than passing something 3 months from now since the changes won't immediately to into effect.

Now if they are still at this point in a couple months, then that may be concerning.

There's the rub. The other GOP senators vigorously opposing ObamaCare are not Ted Cruz, nor do they have his level of smartness nor eloquence.

I'd say yes and no. I'm sure someone in their early 20's would say it was working because they were still able to get insurance for their parents plan. The only reason I now purchase insurance is because I'm forced to. Which is good and bad. Being a healthy adult I probably wouldn't have it if I wasn't required to.

They do not, but they can learn from him and see how to prepare for the most predictable questions. There is no reason to be stumped by questions like "thanks to Obamacare I only pay $70 a month, how can any plan beat that deal?" That's a f$&king softball!

nor

nor

twice in one sentence isn't going to cut it.

Try this.

The other GOP sentator vigorously opposing the terrible failure that is Obamacare are not Ted Cruz. Those Senators have neither his level of intelligence nor his eloquence.

I don't see why the Senators just don't go over the rising premiums and deductibles with these radicals at the town hall meetings. Let them shout over facts and expose themselves for what they are which is nothing but blue haired trained seals.

How can anyone answer that with facts when there is still not even a consensus Republican replacement plan?

I'd have two buckets with me at all times and a shite ton of monopoly money.

I'd demonstrate why Obamacare can't be sustained with toy money and buckets.

Even the millenials would be able to get it.

think about what you saw at the Cassidy town hall... Trump and the GOP know moderates don't like seeing Democrats and progressive protesters make asses of themselves, so they do things that tacitly encourage it

Most liberals don't agree with me.

They were not powerless. I think the Dems are doing a pretty decent job while being powerless right now.

What do I mean? I think what I stated was pretty clear.

Stop giving their constituents a platform to speak their mind

Awesome.. let's card them to make sure they are actually constituents!

Or better still... Stop having town halls until you work it out! Show me the law where they are required to!

The Democrats had 58 Senators, and the 2 Independents (including Bernie) were aligned with them. The had a filibuster proof Senate, so they could have passed anything and everything they wanted.

Well year, nuclear option aside, they are in a much better position than the Rs were in 2008. 60 is the magic number for the majority and the Rs are 8 Senators away from that, whole the Ds had it in 2008.

What do I mean? I think what I stated was pretty clear.
I mean why are you talking in past tense when these discussions are about the future?
quote:

Awesome.. let's card them to make sure they are actually constituents!
And that's fine, but I bet the vast majority are, expecially in the Senate town halls.
quote:

Stop having town halls until you work it out!
And I would be fine with that, but I also don't see an issue with gauging the views of the constituents in a town hall.

I mean wouldn't have been nice if the Ds did that in 2008, rather than foolishly rushing through a huge and complicated piece of legislation?

In other words, the Rs are doing something admirable, even if it's ineffective, rather than stooping to the level of the Ds.

There were numerous town halls on ACA in 2009.

Many Congressional D's also held town halls with their constituents where they were hammered like R's are now. Not ironically, Obama also claimed the attendees were paid and coordinated.

I actually love it. I hope they keep showing these lunatics screaming and shouting and disrupting public discourse and exchange of ideas. It's why they got their arse beat in the elections and will only help in the future.
