Let's say Republicans have a strong showing and fight off any real "wave" that CNN, Toddy, etc are predicting. Do the Dems move forward with Muh Russians/tax returns or do they pick a new play?

They are stubborn enough to stay with it but I'm sure they won't be myopic about perceived scandals. They will throw everything against the wall to see what sticks and then collude with the MSM to make sure everything (even accusations) are plastered in front of voters for the rest of his term(s). It's just what they do.

Dems move on from something? I wouldn't bet on it.

The Dems will say the Russians hacked the 2018 elections and they'll quadruple down on it

Chuck Schumer will be "deeply saddened" and call for another special prosecutor.
