For those of you who do not know, the FDA is trying to regulate premium cigars the same way they regulate cigarettes. It is going to kill the industry in the USA. HR.564 and its mirror S.294 would exempt premium cigars from the FDA regulation/strangulation.

quote:

This bill amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to exempt traditional large and premium cigars from regulation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and from user fees assessed on tobacco products by the FDA.
We are not talking about swisher sweets here.

I know not everyone smokes cigars, but today its our cigars, tomorrow its your beer, whiskey, guns, etc. Please contact your congressman and senators. I linked their web sites below. Non-Louisianians, we need your help too. This is about fighting government overreach.

I don't smoke many premium cigars but they need to leave them alone. Too much government.

This is nothing new. Cigar rights of America has been all over this for a couple of years. If FDA had their way they would control fricken cars also.
