My wife escaped Communism , lived in a refugee camp,had family killed and imprisoned, came to America legally with nothing etc. So she hates snowflakes/Leftists/SJW's/pointy-headed liberals/Progressives/Democrats with a passion.
It's two things really that she points out to me, the Leftist instinct for destruction of American principles, ideals,traditions and Institutions that have made this country unique and wonderful. And the unbearable entitlement of pampered First-worlders who have no fricking clue where their appetite for destruction leads. So we get along well. She's to my right, by just a bit.I could not be married to someone who was not curious and engaged and who did not understand the fragile nature of Liberty and how it must be protected.

To each their own.
My wife and I share similar but not exact beliefs on most things but she is not very politically minded and refuses to vote despite my protestations.
I chose to be with someone who challenges my beliefs and constructively helps to push me in my career and life goals.
I could not stand being with an SJW type or a person who blindly follows everything I say/do. I couldn't respect them.
