Participation rate

If you make all the unemployed people not even look for work the unemployment goes down.

they've always manipulated these numbers. it's mind-boggling so many people believe these very people we know are liars.

If you aren't looking for work you aren't considered unemployed.

Maybe they don't count people who aren't looking for jobs.

Boomers and Gen Xers weren't the ones in the service jobs which have all but started begging for workers.

I'm seeing it all over. Grocery stores, fast food places, etc... 'Hiring' signs everywhere, and we're supposed to believe we're really @ 3.6% unemployment ? I don't believe it.

Yes, and a lot of them are paying the magical $15 an hour that 2 years ago would've solved all of everyone's problems, yet nobody wants those jobs.

Amazing isn't it?

A lot of those people have moved to better jobs.

Wouldn’t seeing lots of places being in need of employees and unable to find them be exactly what one would expect with low unemployment?

Participation rate is still a full point below where it was with Trump.

And considering there have been millions of illegals who entered, who were not captured in the total number of potential participants, but many of whom are working with a SS# and will count as a working participant the participation rate should be far above where it was with Trump.

The labor force participation rate has plummeted to levels last seen in the 60s and 70s when much fewer women worked.

And you know why…

Listen to them closely....."new claims for unemployment benefits" does not equal low unemployment.

There’s still millions of able bodied Americans not working and they’re probably not going back until they face starvation.

Not when unemployment is low and you are running with 10 employees vs 20 2 years ago. And every time you get 2 back another 2 go somewhere else.
