Why not lay out a plan to allow coal miners to work for 10-15 yrs in their current position with a strategic goal in place to eventually move them off of those jobs on to other jobs that were more towards renewable companies /initiatives that?

FYI it's the Democrats that have supported increasing job retraining programs in economically depressed areas. Trump's budget actually eliminates most of these, especially in rural America.

Seriously, how many are going to come back and for how long? Three more coal plants shut down today alone.

How the hell would I know?

I'm just providing an article which IMO, makes a decent argument.

Their begging for miners and maintenance workers for the mines in Alabama right now. Friend of mine is a inspector for the mines says price of coal is going up everyday and business is booming.

Please list out the job retaining programs Obama laid out right before his regulations gutted hundreds of thousands of coal jobs?

welfare is not the same as job retaining programs.

It's probably not. Natural Gas is still king.

A simple google search is all you need to learn about the expansion of job-retraining programs that Democrats support. The link above is one of many examples.

What google is having a hard time showing me is proof that Obama's regulations gutted "hundreds of thousands of coal jobs". Coal certainly has been hurt by the rise of natural gas. But according to you it's Obamas regulations that have cost us "hundreds of thousands" of coal jobs. Now that Trump has undone these regulations we should see hundreds of thousands of returning coal jobs, right?
