re: How involved was our own federal government with 9-11?

We know for a FACT:

1) The FBI and intelligence agencies had been warned about multiple of the 19 hijackers and that extremists were planning to fly planes into buildings

2) The Bush's played a HUGE role and getting multiple Saudi families (including members of the Bin Laden family) out of the country in the aftermath.

Those are facts and are not up for dispute.

As another posted stated, due to what we've learned about how absolutely corrupt and evil E V E R Y facet of our government is the last 6 years or so I would have ZERO problem believing the gov't was absolutely involved or at a very minimum complicit.

Just look at all the "freedoms" we lost due to 9/11 .

I’d say this is most accurate. I worked in Federal Law Enforcement (retired now) and we’re were caught 100% off guard. We had absolutely no idea about the threats of Islamic terrorism. We were never briefed and never trained on anything related to the topic. It was the flood in the Pentagon and the CIA who knew what was going on and never told anybody. Most of the damage occurred during the Clinton years because they just wanted to ignore the threat and enjoy the party.

The real conspiracy concerning 9/11 was the concerted efforts of the Bureaucratic State to hide/destroy evidence that would incriminate the FBI and other government intelligence agencies. The collective intelligence of the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. was sufficient to thwart the 9/11 attacks but those agencies are too compartmentalized and they didn’t share information….Sandy Berger knows.

I hope with all I can that it is #3, I fear it is closer to #1 or #2.
