As Jack frosts drags his frozen nuts across Texas and the central US?

Solar = L (can’t power if snow clouds)
Wind = L (can’t power if turbines are frozen)
Water = L (can’t power if water won’t move)

Maybe hook up a battery bank of potatoes and get this shite jumped off?

I think the green movement just took a big step back. This country demands natural energy.

Do I have to admit Bama was a better team than us if I dismiss their existence?

You realize wind power works in Kansas, Iowa, and other states that have freezing arse winters right...

Texas turbines aren’t heated.

Why would they be? The world is getting hotter because of humans are bad, right?

Also of note: hydroelectric isn’t a significant portion of the Texas power grid, hence my inclusion of central US

Listen I don’t expect any Texans to have a snow blower and all weather tires, but if you wanna have an independent energy infrastructure, maybe the Texas government should’ve thought about worst case scenarios.

I realize wind is a small % of the total aggregate, but they didn’t think about making sure to insulate natural gas pipelines?

Especially as this shite already happened. LINK

They have just shifted the narrative from global warming to climate change over the years. It's amazing these idiots think we can power jets and tanks etc.. effeciently (or at all) without fossil fuels.

I was in high school in the mid 80s, and we were told: "WE ONLY HAVE 10 YEARS TO SAVE US FROM GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!" Here we are now in 2021 hearing the same bs.

You have to heat the turbines?
Perhaps having immense, brittle, and complicated systems with a million different failure points for power is not such a great idea.

This alt energy is allegedly 35% of the energy infrastructure, per some guy in a cowboy hat (seemed legit) on fox business

Greta taking the L because she's ugly, and yet not a male. Ergo, nobody will want to mate with her unless she pays him.

LINK

18.7%

Straight from the Dept of Energy

Who was the guy? Not saying I’m right and he is wrong, but 35% is an interesting number. Also, that means 65% of the blame still goes to our other energy production.

Are the wind turbines state owned or are you suggesting not regulation?

Sid Miller Texas AG commissioner

Rewound the interview

2019 numbers

Nat gas:47%
Coal:20%
Wind:20%
Nuclear:18%
Solar:1%

Source: Texas comptrollers office

To be clear, 20% was nuclear because systems weren’t winterized. That is included in his 35% rant. I’m guessing solar has increased 2-3% since 2019 in texas

Your percentages sound right. Of interest there’s a wood fueled power plant near Nacogdoches that helps power Austin.
