Why can't we just enforce current laws? What's this law supposed to do that all the others don't? What are the consequences for breaking this law as opposed to all the other ones?

Didn’t we (Congress) pass something like this during the Bush or early Obama Presidency already? Why don’t we just enforce what’s already on the f-ing books?

Unfortunately, we need to clarify laws with more laws. Instead of the law that makes you entering our country illegal, the laws supposedly allow ICE to decide when and what deports you…
This law is requiring any jurisdiction that apprehends an illegal for theft, must hold them for ICE….

This is why I am soft on vigilante justice. There is no protection for you against predators but yourself, and much of the time the States interest is protecting the predator.

Just saw Ro Khanna state he didn't vote for it because it allows illegals to be detained indefinitely... He said "I thought we lived in a country where we have rights".

Its an attempt to force Ice to have to do their jobs... Any illegal arrested by local law enforcement has to be detained by ICE for deportation.
But we all know Mayorkis doesn't follow the law any way.

The fact is, no new laws or acts need to be passed. Just like the Patriot Act never needed to become law. And yet, here we are.
But if it takes this to wake some people up, I'm fine with it.
