Honest Opinion of Ivanka Trump and her "Working Woman" Image

Let me preface this by saying that I am not belittling Ivanka nor her accomplishments.
From reading online articles and watching interviews, I get the impression that the GOP is trying to push Ivanka as this role model for working women. I understand that all parties try to pander to their base, but this seems very asinine in her case.
The fact of the matter is that Ivanka is a billionaire's daughter. She has many privileges and resources available to her that the average US women does not have.
We have a "Book Board" now, so I will not go into detail about Women Who Work on here. However, the general impression I receive is that her message is targeted primarily to upper-class women and does not really focus on more immediate issues women face.
If you are woman on here and you disagree, please give me feedback. Its open discussion for anyone, but I am very curious to get a woman's perspective (liberal or conservative)

SHe's like her father, able to relate to people of different economic groups.

The fact that she is intelligent and trying to run her own businesses is impressive to me.

Ivanka is the epitome of everything mainstream America despises about the Rich. She has only a narrow, self focused outlook and I believe she looks down with contempt on ordinary workers and the middle class.

Sigh.... You know I almost did not want to use that word as it has gained so many outlandish connotations due to overuse.
That said, I am not talking about her wealth. This was about how propaganda can be used to create an image about something/someone in order to distract the public from an actual issue.

I think you have a pretty good overall point. I will say that I used to watch the apprentice (wasn't my idea, blame a man
) and Ivanka was, by far, my favorite Trump. I didn't expect to like her at all figuring she was an air-headed former model and just there for her daddy to pimp out to the public. But she always came across as smart, seemed level headed, a very decent person and also seemed to have a good mind for business. Don't see how her doing her thing is a major operation of propaganda to help deflect news stories the Trump's don't like.

1. Family Leave initiative
2. Apprenticeship program/Workforce Development
3. Entrepreneurship
