The economy mix impact is going to be interesting.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see a class action suit against them by the victims and their surviving families.

How can Mandalay Bay be held responsible for this? Where is SFP?

I'm not disagreeing with you, but how were they in any way negligent?

Most policies exclude acts of terrorism.

Depends on the label the government gives it. If the US labels it an "act of terrorism" it won't be picked up unless they specifically bought coverage for that type of event. (See Terrorism Risk Insurance Act)

Insurance companies will have to pay something I'm sure. The defense costs alone for a case this large could eat away at the policy limits pretty fast.

I don't see how they would be liable but unfortunately they are the "deep pockets" in this situation.

The court would need to find them liable first as you know.

I'm guessing the surveillance will be telling. We all know every inch of every casino is watched

In my experience as a risk manager, I always had to opt out of terroisim coverage.

MGM Mirage will absolutely be sued

Hopefully the jury finds in their favor like they did in the CO theater lawsuit

Generally insurance policies don't cover intentional acts or acts of terrorism.
