This list is possibly misleading. Since the win margin is narrow, once it was known JJ lost the remaining voters may have voted no just to get some concessions for future votes.
The trick is to convince a few hardline no votes- JJ will have concede on a few issues. Half of these no votes will get some pork promises and revote yes too.
A few are in blue/purple districts and need to show they tried to vote no but had to “give up eventually” to get congress back in the game
Lots of politics at play here, pretty normal for this day and age. I think je will eventually win but it may take several revotes and sacrifices.

Most aren’t answering. John James’ office said it’s because they couldn’t agree on spending and specifically called out Gaetz saying Gaetz didn’t want to fund the military and wanted to shutdown the government. Lol he said it was particularly disingenuous in light of our military being sent to Israel. I told him we don’t want to see Americans in Israel and the dude about blew a gasket on that one. Lol

Mike Lee’s office said he just felt Scalise would be better. I told him he doesn’t want the speakership and he said “well they had a vote in conference and scalise won”
