If the Hawks fetch $600m+, I wonder what other owners are going to come out and say "I'm racist, too!"

It just looks like something you'd see in every damn company across America when talking key demos and branding.
He must have some motive behind the self report. I mean wtf.
What I gather is he wants to attract the more affluent, key demo, that the other teams have but he has to fight the battle of a poor, incorrect perception that unfairly permeated his white fan base.

I gave you my honest perception, key word being "perception" of my observations of blacks involving their ability to sustain an organization as the primary demographic base.
If it offends you for whatever reason then oh well. You can get over it just like I can get over whatever assumption about me you make.

But in the end his analysis was probably pretty spot on and likely made him and the organization stronger and likely richer because of his observations. Reality. The protected ones will never rise as long as they are protected from growth and achievement.

They asked on sports center how much the Hawks were worth.
The NBA analyst said not as much as the Clippers because everything in the e-mail was true. The analyst was black so I guess he won't get fired.

if this email is going to cause a scandal then thousands of CEOs, managers, etc are going to be in BIG trouble

I agree he is actually complimentary of his black fans and workers. I disagree with his conclusion. I the problem has more to do with socioeconomics than culture and the fact that Altalnta is a destination city. A good bit of the affluent citizens of all races are are not from there and will not support the team through thick and thin. Miami has this problem as well. LSU also has this problem. Not because of Baton Rouge being a destination city but because of ticket prices. As the tickets get more expensive you price out the fans who stick with a team thick and thin and who arrive early and stay late.
It is my understanding the Clippers and Wizards(two teams with large minority fanbases) do not have this problem. They have focused on growing the fan base and creating a fan culture.
