Honestly, yes, because I think Trump is holding a knife at their throats. Despite the fact that they're holding power, I think they and the Democrats are about to have to build from scratch in the American people's perspective. He destroyed the two party system, with the Democrats totally destroyed and Trump holding the Republicans hostage.

Obama couldn't translate his "power" the party nor could the Party coop it. Trump's "power" in no different.

It is not really the "gop" it is the PEOPLE, and they better understand it!

Probably not. It's an unreal time for America especially considering the media is painting a picture that depicts our country being held hostage by evil white men.

Almost every facet of government is being elected by Republicans and conservatives but we're supposed to believe this country is really super progressive and SJW and if only voter turnout was better or the electoral college was destroyed, we'd never see a Republican in office again.

It's Trump's party now. If they embrace that while being welcoming of moderate Democrats, they'll be exceptionally powerful.

The media is being more divisive than people like Elizabeth Warren right now.

The GOP was strong even before this election. I don't know where the idea that it was weak was coming from on both sides.

I agree, but we need a GOP rebuild that makes it a party that represents the interests of regular people.

Trump expanded the map for the GOP and if they want to continue to win elections they'll have to follow his policies. Because traditional GOP leaning swing states like Va, Co, NV are going blue due to demographics. The upper Midwest will trend more red if the party starts focusing on their interests too

Democrats held the house from 1933 to 1994, except for 1 term I think in late 40s
