Has anyone here been to an ER lately?

I know two people who went to two different ERs in two different states for things not related to covid. Both were asked if they were vaccinated and both said yes and that was it. They were not tested in the ER. I'm pretty sure up until vaccines came out, EVERYONE who walked in the door got tested no matter what they were there for. Since we now know vaccinated people can get and spread covid, why are they not being tested in emergency rooms? Gov. doesn't want to really know how many vaccinated people have covid maybe????

Did you just wake up from an 18-month long nap?

snark aside, no I haven't . Vaccines have only been available for about EIGHT months and I haven't known anyone who visited an ER since the vaccines came out. I know during the first year of covid EVERYONE got tested. Now they don't care if you're positive if you're vaccinated, I guess.

It’s all a conspiracy to get Trump.
But he will return on a white horse, from the clouds.

My point is that from the very beginning everything gov't health (and increasingly private health) does is to pump up the Covid fear porn. All the data has been so warped from the very beginning that if they decide one day to see what Covid was really about, it'll take a million man-years of correcting data before any sort of analysis becomes credible.
Also, if I'm not mistaken the CDC actually issued a "decree" - that unless a vaccinated person has symptomatic Covid, they don't give a frick and don't want asymptomatic vaccinated Covid cases recorded.

Tried going to the ER here in Bham multiple times in the last week. I couldn’t get in over the dead bodies outside. Will try again next week.

Yes I recall the CDC decree. I was thinking however that they wouldn't REPORT how many non-hospitalized positive cases there were but would still collect the data. Now I know they really don't care.

Good post!
The medical and governemntal leaders do not want us to know the whole truth....
Accurate stats showing vaccinated people are as dangerous as others, would blow their whole scare narrative....
I hate these people and the way we have been treated like sheep.

I've been to the ER about 6-7 times since the 1st of May. (Chronic Pancreatitis that is worsening, about ready to head there again any day now)
In the ER I was never asked about the faux vaccination, nor was I tested for Wu Flu. I was tested while an inpatient the last full week of June. My PCP NP asked me about the vaccination for her records on a post release visit to her clinic but neither encouraged nor discouraged getting one. (She's since spent 2 weeks off work catching it last month.)
The last couple of trips to the ER the place was packed with Covid people. Talking hallways full of gurneys and chairs full of obviously ill people. I just happened to time my trips such that I was in between waves of intake or probably would have caught it from being stuck in the halls too (only walked past these folks on way out and back to exam room from imaging).

Well, that’s just patently false. Not sure where you got your information from but you were only tested if you were symptomatic or specifically came in for testing due to exposure, etc.

I posted the following in a thread a few weeks in the "Why do anti covid vax folks think the 90% of those hospitalized are unvaccinated #'s are"
I wouldn't call it a lie. I do believe that they are altering protocol to get desired results.
Two members of the same household are brought to the ER with gun shot wounds. Person A is fully vaccinated, person B is not. We know person B is getting tested for covid, but is person A? My guess is that they aren't. Now lets say that person B tests positive for covid. That's an unvaccinated hospitalization. Since they both came from the same household, there's a possibility that person A would test positive also. If they both die from the GSW, we now have an unvaccinated covid death and a GSW death with an unknown covid status.
We are continuously told that vaccinated people have a less severe case. If that's true, then how are 20% of deaths for a given week fully vaccinated, but only 10% of hospitalizations are fully vaccinated? Either the 90% of hospitalizations is not accurate, or vaccinated hospitalizations have a greater rate of deaths. Which should I believe?

With all due respect, no doctor is going through all those calculi to determine if a Covid test is administered or not. They do so based on the presentation of the individual patient. Nobody has time to spend figuring all that out. Especially for people with true emergencies.

Do you work in an ER and talking from experience, or just using common sense?
You do know that the EMS has time to ask questions during the drive and routinely ask patients about their medical history including allergies and other info.

What if I said both? I do happen to work in an ER and also have common sense.

Friend of mine had cold like symptoms, so like a good little sheep he went and got tested . Came back positive for COVID . Now he’s already had COVID last December and had both shots . Either the test really are garbage, or his immune system is shot from the jabs . They gave him the antibody infusion . Felt great the next day . Probably just had a damn cold .also wife and kids tested negative.
