Academics at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy analyzed coverage from Trump’s first 100 days in office across 10 major TV and print outlets.

It found that the tone of some outlets was negative in as many as 98% of reports, significantly more hostile than the first 100 days of the three previous administrations:

In America they analyzed CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.

They also took into account the BBC, the UK’s Financial Times and the German public broadcaster ARD.

Every outlet was negative more often than positive.

The picture was very different for other recent administrations. The study found that President Obama’s first 100 got positive good overall – with 59% of reports positive.

Trump has had a horrible time in office so far, including a personal press briefing where he just lashed out at the press.

Not sure how you spin an fbi investigation in a positive way.

How many people have to go on record in saying Trump did nothing wrong?

And this is Obama people saying this.

some pretty interesting notes in that study

like this for example

this just illustrates that the media doesn't have to spin things, Trump does this to himself

also with as much as this board bitches about the "muh Russians", it only receiving 6% of the news coverage is surprising

Appointing Flynn to NSA wasn't wrong? Having the likes of Manafort, Page, etc around wasn't wrong? Not having a consistent story on firing Comey isn't wrong? Getting caught in lies trying to deny contacts with Russians isn't wrong?

There's no question the media has been after Trump from the jump. I actually really bothers me that he was never going to be given a chance.

That being said, Trump also brought at least 25% of that coverage on himself by acting like a damn goon.

I suppose one could argue that point, but what I'm looking at is the concerted effort of the MSM/Dims to bring this POTUS down, it's pretty damn pitiful and impressive at the same time.

Is reporting the stupid things Trump does "trying to bring him down"? When MSM prints the very words that come out of his mouth (or tweet) are they "out to get him"?

Obama was treated with kid gloves because he was "their boy". Obama's transgressions were ignored, explained away or minimized.

Trump is attacked with glee because he dared to challenge their world view. His transgressions are fabricated (sometimes), sensationalized, and exaggerated.

To indicate anything otherwise is to be highly partisan, willfully ignorant or just plain disingenuous.

I'm no Trump supporter or Obama supporter for that matter, but there's no rational person that truly believes that 98% of what Trump has done (which isn't much, frankly) is bad.

It's this kind of partisan bullshite that is killing this country.
